AIT Studio (CEO: Singi Park) announced on the 19th that it has secured Pre-A funding from Dongmoon Partners and Magna Investment, driven by its computer vision–based gait analysis medical device, MEDISTEP. The company’s valuation has more than doubled within just eight months since its seed round. MEDISTEP is a mobile camera–based, markerless gait analysis solution that enables full-body joint analysis without the need for additional sensors. It generates over 40 gait metrics within one minute. The solution is characterized by achieving more than 90% cost reduction compared to conventional systems, while maintaining approximately 95% accuracy.

Demonstrates single-camera AI gait analysis technology at public procurement innovation event Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Koo Yun-cheol visited an AI Innovation Product Showcase held in Seongsu-dong, Seoul on the 27th, where he toured participating booths and personally experienced MEDISTEP, an AI-powered gait analysis solution developed by AIT Studio Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Singi). The event was organized to share the achievements of the government’s Innovative Procurement Product Program and to gather feedback from companies participating in the initiative. During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister Koo stopped by several company booths, listening to product explanations and observing live demonstrations. At the AIT Studio booth, CEO Park Singi introduced the technological overview of MEDISTEP and its clinical applications. Deputy Prime Minister Koo also underwent a gait measurement test on-site and reviewed the AI-generated analysis results. MEDISTEP is a markerless AI gait analysis system based on a single camera, capable of quantifying key mobility indicators such as gait speed, step length, and balance without requiring sensors or wearable devices. The solution is designed for various clinical applications, including fall risk assessment for older adults and monitoring rehabilitation progress after surgery. Following the demonstrations, a roundtable discussion was held with participating companies. The session focused on ways to strengthen the public procurement-based innovation product program and explored how the initiative can better support companies’ growth and global market expansion. AIT Studio recently completed CE MDR (Class I) registration in Europe and has installed its system at a university hospital in Basel, Switzerland. Domestically, the solution has been adopted by seven university hospitals, and exports to five Asian countries including Japan and Singapore are currently being prepared. CEO Park stated, “Based on clinically validated AI gait analysis technology, we are expanding MEDISTEP beyond university hospitals to public healthcare settings such as community health centers and senior welfare facilities across Korea. We hope the innovative procurement program will serve as a stepping stone for Korean technology companies to grow and expand globally.” AIT Studio is also a member company of IBK Industrial Bank of Korea’s startup incubation program ‘IBK Changgong Mapo’ (16th cohort), supported by Synergy IB Investment, a new technology finance company and co-operator of the IBK Changgong program.
